Why is this? Is it because of the thrill of beating the big guys, or is just because it is illegal that people continue to do it? I have no idea, and while my own personal opinion on the matter is well known, I am puzzled as to why perfectly good sites that are licensed to allow downloading of movies from a membership site are ignored in favor of those that are patently promoting illegal downloading of copyrighted material.

That software is easily accessible, it is legal and it is inexpensive. High court judges in the USA and the EU have adjudicated P2P file sharing software not to be illegal. I urge you not to use it illegally but if you do so, then it is certainly not up to me to stop you (another high court adjudication), but those that make it possible by leaving their files so easy to be copied. I can understand that of small businesses with little cash, but not of multibillion dollar corporations that can afford whatever technology they need to achieve that.

However, it’s not my responsibility to stop you – only to advise against it in the same way that it is not a car salesman’s job to make sure you don’t speed or drive after drinking alcohol.
